    Hi everyone,
Today my boys fed our turtle flies they had caught. Is this OK? Humphrey, our turtle, really enjoyed them but I'm concerned they are not too good for him.
    Thanks,
    Stacey

    Hi Stacey,

Flies are actually very good for turtles as long as they have not come in contact with any pesticides.

Few! The boys caught them so no pesticides involved. I really was amazed at how quickly he ate them! We may have found a favourite food!
    Thanks,
    Stacey.

I raised my turtles on swatted flies. It's a great way to move hatchlings off bloodworms.

I have one of those tennis racquet bug zappers, it's fantastic for that sort of thing. When the batteries start running out it just stuns them, which makes for a great live food.
