    Good morning,

I am moving my maquarie into a new tank. I was wondering if there's a faster way to cycle the tank eg adding the water from the old tank (the chemistry is perfect) or do I have to start from scratch again?

    Thank you!

    Good morning,
Yes, using water and/or the filter from a cycled tank speeds up the cycling process.

Not so much the water from an existing tank but more so the substrate, decor and filter media. You can instantly cycle a new tank with this method. Always keep Seachem Prime and Stability on hand though as it's quite normal for a new tank to go through a mini-cycle... which is basically just a quick readjustment.
