I've got a UVB light holder with a Repti Glo 10.0 today. I took the glass and I got more UVB strength. Was that the right thing?

I can't really explain but on the light fixture my Repti-Glo sits in and there is a layer of glass or plastic to slide in.

Ah yes, now I know what you mean.
That perspex sleeve MUST be removed as all Perspex and Glass filters out UVB, so if you didn't remove it your turtle would be missing out on vital UVB rays. Please make sure that there are also NO glass lids under the light fitting.

Also looks like you have rocks in there. Read the care guide carefully a few times and follow the advice. That'll put you on the right track.
